The water temperature allows swimming all the year round. The average daytime is 24° C. The village is positioned in a quiet location on the east coastof the island, and is protected from the wind by the surrounding lava floows. In winter the population of the village is around 250 persons, (this increases considerably in the summer months).In the village there is a small supermarket, fairly well stocked, there are larger stores in the capital Valverde a mere 9 km from Tamaduste. There are two Bars/Restaurants that serve typical Canarian cuisine. The airport is situated 4 km away and the ferry port 9 km. This small quiet village of Tamaduste is an excellent place to spend your winter break, or even the entire winter.
