| Fly to Tenerife, most flights from the U.K. and Ireland arrive at the southern airport. Flights of 35 minutes can be obtained from the northern airport to El Hierro, travel between the two airports is 80 Kms by taxi and takes one hour, buses are also available. A fast ferry also sails from the port of Los Christianos to El Hierro, journey time 2 hours, some 20 Kms from the southern airport.
